Char Dham from Dehradun
- Kharsali, Harsil, Guptkashi and Badrinath stays
- Ground transfers at every helipad
- Return to Sahastradhara on day 6
Every helicopter option for the four dhams in one place: full charter yatras from Dehradun, shorter Do Dham and Ek Dham flights, and the separate Kedarnath shuttle that is booked only on IRCTC.
When pilgrims search for "Char Dham helicopter booking" they usually mean one of two things, and mixing them up is the most common cause of disappointment. The first is a charter yatra: a private programme in which a helicopter carries you from Dehradun to the helipads near all four shrines over five nights, with hotels and ground transport waiting at each stop. The second is the Kedarnath shuttle: a short hop of a few minutes from Phata, Sersi or Guptkashi up to Kedarnath, sold seat by seat to the public.
The two are booked in completely different ways. Charter yatras are arranged by tour operators like us together with the helicopter company. Shuttle seats are sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal (heliyatra.irctc.co.in), and only after you have completed the free Char Dham yatra registration. We do not sell shuttle tickets; we help you through the process and build the rest of the trip around the seat you get.

Estimates for the 2027 season. Pony or palki at Yamunotri, special puja and extra nights caused by bad weather are not included.
This is the standard charter route. Departure is from the Sahastradhara helipad on the edge of Dehradun. Exact take-off times are fixed by the operator the evening before, depending on the weather.
Report at Sahastradhara for the baggage check and weigh-in, then fly over the Mussoorie ridge into the Yamuna valley. From the Kharsali helipad you are driven a short way to Janki Chatti, where the 6 km path to Yamunotri begins. Most guests take a pony or palki up for darshan at Surya Kund and Divya Shila and return to Kharsali by evening, the winter seat of Goddess Yamuna.
A morning flight crosses into the Bhagirathi valley and lands at Harsil, a village of apple orchards and deodar forest. A car takes you up to Gangotri for darshan of Goddess Ganga and a look at Bhagirath Shila. You return to Harsil for a quiet evening by the river.
The longest leg of the trip carries you across the ridges to the Mandakini valley. After check-in, the afternoon is free to visit the Ardhanarishwar temple in Guptkashi or simply rest. Your coordinator confirms the Kedarnath timing for the next morning.
Fly up to Kedarnath from the Guptkashi or Phata helipad and walk about 500 m to the temple for darshan of the Jyotirlinga. There is time to see the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi before the return flight. Back in Guptkashi, the evening is yours.
Fly over the Chopta forests to Badrinath and drive the short distance to your hotel. Bathe in the Tapt Kund and attend the evening aarti at Badri Narayan. If time permits, drive 3 km to Mana village for Vyas Gufa and Bhim Pul.
Take early darshan, collect prasad and board the final flight back to Sahastradhara. You are in Dehradun before lunch, with plenty of time for an onward flight from Jolly Grant airport or a drive to Delhi.
If you are travelling by road and only want to avoid the 16 km trek, you need a shuttle seat rather than a charter. In 2026 the Phata round trip was listed at ₹6,500 per person, with Sersi about the same and Guptkashi about ₹8,500. Fares are announced each year.
Each helipad has its own page: Phata, Sersi and Guptkashi. For the full portal walkthrough read Kedarnath helicopter booking on IRCTC. If you want the road trip and a shuttle seat planned together from Delhi, see the Kedarnath helicopter package from Delhi.
Prefer a mix of road and air? Our luxury Char Dham package uses comfortable hotels by road, and you can add a Kedarnath flight to it.

Our estimate is from ₹2,15,000 per person for 5 nights from Dehradun, ₹2,17,000 from Haridwar or Rishikesh and ₹2,20,000 from Delhi with transfers. The final quote depends on date, group size and hotels.
No. Shuttle seats from Phata, Sersi and Guptkashi are sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal after registration. We guide you through it and plan the trip around your ticket. See online Kedarnath helicopter tickets.
From the Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun, about 35–40 minutes by road from Jolly Grant airport. Guests from Delhi, Haridwar or Rishikesh are transferred there by road.
Yes, at Yamunotri. The helicopter lands at Kharsali, and the last 6 km from Janki Chatti is on foot, pony or palki. At Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath the walk is short.
Flights wait for a safe window. If a leg cannot fly that day, the programme moves by a day. Extra hotel nights caused by weather are not included in the price.
It is the gentlest way to cover all four shrines, as it avoids long hill drives. The altitude is the same, though, so a medical check-up before travel is wise.
Yes. The Do Dham helicopter package covers both in 1 night and 2 days from about ₹1,25,000 per person.
Charter dates for May and June fill early, so start planning soon after the opening dates are announced in spring.
