Family Teen Dham
- Innova Crysta for 4–6
- Delhi pick-up and drop
- Veg breakfast and dinner
Whether your group sets out from Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot or a smaller town in Saurashtra, the plan is the same: reach Delhi or Haridwar, and we take you to Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath with vegetarian meals and a hill driver.
Gujarat sends some of the largest groups of pilgrims to Uttarakhand each year: extended families, society groups and satsang mandals travelling together, often with grandparents. Their needs are consistent, and we plan around them: pure vegetarian food, room for elders to rest, a vehicle big enough for the whole group, and a route that does not demand more walking than necessary. The Teen Dham Yatra fits well, because it skips the steep Yamunotri climb while keeping Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
The state is roughly 950–1,200 km from Delhi depending on your city. Groups reach the capital by overnight train or by air, and a few through trains from Gujarat continue towards Haridwar and Dehradun. Our land package begins at whichever point you arrive.

Most Gujarat groups arrive in Delhi by morning train, so this is the plan we quote most often. Groups arriving at Haridwar skip day 1 and finish on day 8 in Haridwar.
Meet the driver at the station or airport and load the luggage. Drive up through western Uttar Pradesh to Haridwar. The whole group can attend the Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri that evening.
Climb through Rishikesh, Chamba and the Tehri valley to the Bhagirathi. For first-time visitors the change from plains to mountains is dramatic. Evening at leisure in Uttarkashi.
Visit Gangotri, the temple of Mother Ganga, through Gangnani and Harsil. Families often perform a small puja at the ghat and fill Gangajal for relatives. Back to Uttarkashi in the evening.
Long drive to the Mandakini valley with relaxed meal stops. Groups in a Tempo Traveller move a little slower, so the driver starts early. Overnight in Guptkashi.
Drive to Sonprayag and jeep to Gaurikund. Each member chooses to walk, ride a pony or take a palki. Those with IRCTC shuttle seats fly from their helipad.
Early darshan at Kedarnath, then Bhairavnath temple. Return to Gaurikund and Sonprayag, where the vehicle waits. Rest in Guptkashi.
Cross via Ukhimath and Chopta to the Alaknanda valley and climb to Badrinath. Tapt Kund bath and evening aarti. Hotels are a short walk from the temple.
Morning darshan of Badri Narayan and pind daan at Brahma Kapal for those who wish. See Mana village and Bhim Pul. Drive to Rudraprayag.
A long but easy run down the valley and across the plains. Drop at the station or airport in Delhi by evening. Groups with a next-day train can add a night in Haridwar.
Two of the three shrines on this trip, Gangotri and Badrinath, are reached by road, so elders can take darshan with very little walking. Kedarnath is the only real challenge. For older members we usually suggest one of three options: a palki carried by four bearers, a pony with a handler, or a seat on the IRCTC shuttle helicopter if the family manages to book one. Younger members can walk while elders ride, and everyone meets at the temple. A medical check-up before travel, a pulse oximeter in the bag and a slower pace on road days make a big difference.
Rooms can be requested on lower floors where hotels have them, and we keep the same hotel for two nights at Uttarkashi and Guptkashi so elders unpack less often.
The land package starts from about ₹17,500 per person from Haridwar or ₹19,500 from Delhi, on budget hotels for four people. Travel from Gujarat is extra. These are 2027 estimates.
No. Guests book their own trains or flights. We suggest arrival times that fit the tour.
Yes, with several Tempo Travellers or a bus on request. Share the numbers and we will plan vehicles and rooms.
We request no-onion, no-garlic or Jain meals from hotels in advance. Most can manage, but at high stops choices are limited.
Teen Dham is easier on elders and shorter. If the group is fit and has 12–13 days, the Char Dham from Gujarat adds Yamunotri.

Yes, a Teen Dham helicopter charter from Dehradun takes 4 nights and 5 days.
