Kedarnath Yatra Package from Delhi 2027

Delhi to Kedarnath: the journey in numbers

There is no road to Kedarnath temple. Cars from Delhi go as far as Sonprayag, about 455 km away; a shared jeep covers the 5 km to Gaurikund, and the last 16 km is a mountain trail climbing to 3,583 m. Splitting that into comfortable stages is what turns a punishing dash into a proper pilgrimage.

StageDistanceTypical timeMode

Helicopter shuttles from Phata, Sersi or Guptkashi replace the last two stages with a short flight, but seats are limited and sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal. For a full comparison of trek and flight, read Kedarnath helicopter ticket from Delhi.

Pick-up across Delhi NCR, and which vehicle to choose

Your driver collects you from home, a hotel, New Delhi or Hazrat Nizamuddin station, Anand Vihar ISBT or the airport. Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad are all covered at no extra cost. We suggest a 6 am start so you are past Ghaziabad before the morning rush.

  • Sedan (Dzire): best for two or three people with light bags.
  • Ertiga: a compact seven-seater for four or five on a budget.
  • Innova Crysta: the favourite for families of four to six, especially with elders; more legroom and a smoother ride on bends.
  • Tempo Traveller: for office teams, temple groups and extended families of 8–12.

Per-person prices fall as more people share a car. Ask for a quote for your exact group; the Kedarnath yatra by car page explains vehicle hire in more detail.

Kedarnath Yatra package from Delhi: FAQ

What is the distance from Delhi to Kedarnath?

About 455 km by road to Sonprayag, 5 km more by shared jeep to Gaurikund, and then a 16 km trek to the temple.

How much does a Kedarnath trip from Delhi cost?

An estimated ₹10,500 per person on budget hotels, ₹15,000 deluxe and ₹23,500 luxury, for four people over 4 nights and 5 days. The final quote depends on dates, hotels and group size.

Can the Kedarnath trip from Delhi be done in 3 days?

Not comfortably by road and trek. With IRCTC shuttle helicopter tickets, a 3N/4D plan works; see the helicopter booking from Delhi page.

Which vehicle is best for a family of five?

An Innova Crysta. It seats six or seven with room for bags and is the most comfortable choice on the hill roads.

Is there a bus from Delhi to Kedarnath?

Public buses run from Delhi to Haridwar and Rishikesh, with onward buses into the hills in season, but changing buses with luggage is tiring. A private car or a group tour is far more convenient for families.
