Char Dham Yatra Package from Saharanpur 2027

The closest big city to the yatra in western UP

From Saharanpur, the Shivalik hills are visible on a clear winter morning. Dehradun is about 70 km away through the Mohand pass and Haridwar about 80 km via Roorkee. That puts you within easy reach of the yatra by road, so we start and finish at your door instead of asking you to travel to a pick-up point.

On the first morning, the driver takes the Mohand road to Dehradun and climbs to Mussoorie, reaching Barkot near Yamunotri by evening. Ten days later, after all four dhams, you come back down through Haridwar and are home for dinner. The route and hotels match our Haridwar Char Dham package; only the start and end change.

Shorter yatras from Saharanpur

Because the hills are so close, many Saharanpur families split the four dhams over two seasons instead of doing them all at once. One year they visit Kedarnath and Badrinath, the next year Gangotri and Yamunotri. Each trip then fits inside a week, and elders get more rest between the hard walking days.

TripDuration from HaridwarBudgetDeluxe
Do Dham: Kedarnath + Badrinath5N / 6D₹13,500₹19,500
Gangotri + Yamunotri5N / 6D₹12,500₹18,500
Teen Dham: Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath7N / 8D₹17,500₹26,000
Kedarnath only3N / 4D₹8,500₹12,500

All of these can start from your home in Saharanpur for a small pick-up supplement. See the Do Dham Yatra, Gangotri Yamunotri tour and Teen Dham Yatra pages for full itineraries.

Tips for Saharanpur families

  • Being close means you can pick quieter dates. Mid-September to October is ideal; see best time to visit.
  • Leave home before 6 am on Day 1 to cross Dehradun and Mussoorie ahead of traffic.
  • Saharanpur summers are hot; mountain nights are not. Pack thermals and a heavy jacket; see things to carry.
  • Register each traveller online for free before the trip; see registration help.
  • Kedarnath shuttle tickets are sold only on IRCTC HeliYatra; read IRCTC helicopter booking.
  • Neighbours or a joint family can share a Tempo Traveller to cut the cost per person.
