Deluxe Char Dham from Haridwar
- Better-rated hotels
- Ertiga or Innova Crysta
- Breakfast and dinner
The middle path between a simple budget trip and a luxury tour: rooms with good beds and reliable hot water after long mountain days, and a roomier car for the long drives.
Most of our deluxe guests fall into one of three groups: families taking parents in their sixties or seventies, first-time pilgrims who want a gentler introduction to mountain travel, and couples who have saved for this journey and want to enjoy the evenings as much as the darshan. What they share is a wish for a dependable night's sleep. On a ten-day circuit with two treks and several eight-hour drives, that sleep makes a real difference to how well you cope with the altitude.
The route and the shrines are exactly the same as on our budget packages. The difference lies in the hotels, which are among the better-rated in each town, often with river or valley views, proper heating where available and larger rooms. We also default to an Ertiga or Innova Crysta rather than a sedan.
| Feature | Budget | Deluxe | Luxury |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hotels | Clean, simple | Better-rated, often with views | Best available at each stop |
| Meals | Breakfast + dinner | Breakfast + dinner | All meals |
| Usual vehicle | Dzire / Ertiga | Ertiga / Innova Crysta | Innova Crysta |
| Kedarnath stay | Basic | Basic, better room where possible | Best rooms available (still basic) |
| Price from Haridwar | ₹21,500 | ₹32,500 | ₹49,500 |
If deluxe still feels too simple, see the luxury package. If you would rather put the difference towards a helicopter seat at Kedarnath, a budget package plus an IRCTC shuttle ticket is another smart combination.
Where does the extra money go? Most of the difference between budget and deluxe is the hotel bill, because better rooms in Guptkashi, Uttarkashi and Badrinath cost noticeably more in peak season. The rest covers the larger vehicle. For a family of four, deluxe adds about ₹11,000 per person over ten days, which many families feel is worth it when parents are travelling.
| Deluxe package | Duration | Price per person |

Your Innova or Ertiga collects you after breakfast. A leisurely drive via Mussoorie, with time for tea at a viewpoint, brings you to the Yamuna valley. Check in to a hotel with orchard or valley views at Barkot.
A comfortable start for the drive to Janki Chatti. Elders often book a palki or pony here for the 6 km climb, which leaves energy for darshan and the Surya Kund. A hot shower and a good dinner wait back at Barkot.
A short transfer to the Bhagirathi. Many deluxe hotels in Uttarkashi sit on the river, making this a pleasant afternoon of rest. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple at aarti time.
Drive past Gangnani and Harsil, the most beautiful stretch of the Bhagirathi valley. Darshan at Gangotri and quiet time by the river. Back to the same Uttarkashi hotel, so there is no repacking.
The longest drive, eased by a roomier vehicle and planned breaks. Check in to a hotel with views of the Chaukhamba massif. Pack a light overnight bag for Kedarnath.
Early transfer to Sonprayag and jeep to Gaurikund. Trek, ride or, with IRCTC helicopter tickets, fly to Kedarnath. We book the best available room near the temple, though all accommodation here is basic.
Darshan at dawn when the queue is shortest. Visit the Bhairavnath temple and the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi. Descend and return to your comfortable Guptkashi hotel for a long rest.
Through Ukhimath and the Chopta forests to the Alaknanda valley. Climb past Joshimath to Badrinath. Your hotel is a short walk from the temple, which helps for evening and morning darshan.
Morning darshan of Badri Vishal and a visit to Mana village. Afternoon drive to Rudraprayag or Srinagar. Overnight at a riverside hotel.
Drive via Devprayag and Rishikesh. Drop in Haridwar by afternoon. Extend with a night in Rishikesh if you want a slower finish.
From about ₹32,500 per person from Haridwar (9N/10D) and ₹35,500 from Delhi (11N/12D), for four people. These are 2027 estimates.
Better-rated hotels and a roomier vehicle. The route, meals plan and support are the same.
Kedarnath has only basic accommodation. We book the best room available, but expect simple guest houses or tents.
An Ertiga or Innova Crysta for most groups. A Tempo Traveller for bigger families.
