Option 1: vehicle-only hire

You book your own hotels; we provide the car, driver, fuel, tolls, parking, permits and driver allowance for six days, Haridwar to Haridwar. These are estimated 2027 rates per vehicle.

Six days in the Crysta: the day-wise route

The car stays with you the whole time. The only stretch it cannot cover is Sonprayag to Kedarnath, where private vehicles stop and you continue by shared jeep and on foot or by shuttle helicopter.

   Haridwar to Guptkashi

   The driver meets you at Haridwar station, your hotel or Dehradun airport and loads the luggage. The first hours run beside the Ganga through Rishikesh and Byasi. Halt at Devprayag for a view of the sangam, then continue via Rudraprayag up the Mandakini valley to Guptkashi.

   Sonprayag and trek to Kedarnath

   The Crysta drops you at Sonprayag parking before dawn; pack a small overnight bag and leave the rest in the car. Ride the shared jeep to Gaurikund and climb the 16 km trail, on foot, pony or palki. Evening aarti at the temple completes the day.

   Kedarnath darshan, return to Guptkashi

   16 km trek + 30 km driveFull dayNight: Guptkashi

   Take early darshan, visit Bhairavnath temple and the Shankaracharya Samadhi, and walk down. Your driver is waiting at Sonprayag with your bags, so the drive back to Guptkashi is relaxed. Hot water and a proper dinner feel well earned.

   Guptkashi to Badrinath

   This is the most scenic drive of the trip and the one where the Crysta's comfort shows. The road crosses via Ukhimath and Chopta's forests, drops to Chamoli and climbs past Joshimath. Reach Badrinath by late afternoon for a dip in the Tapt Kund and evening aarti.

   Badrinath darshan, Mana and descent

   160 km6–7 hoursNight: Rudraprayag / Srinagar

   Early darshan of Badri Narayan is followed by the short drive to Mana village to see Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa and Bhim Pul. After lunch, the driver takes you down the Alaknanda to Rudraprayag or Srinagar for the night.

Getting the most from a private Crysta

• Keep one small overnight bag per person for the Kedarnath night; the car waits at Sonprayag with the rest.
• Agree daily start times with your driver the evening before. Early starts mean easier traffic at Rudraprayag and Joshimath.
• Plan to reach each night stop before dark; night driving in the mountains is avoided for safety.
• If a landslide closes the road, the driver will wait or reroute; extra days are charged at the daily vehicle rate.
• Carry motion-sickness tablets for the Ukhimath–Chopta stretch, which has continuous bends.
