Do Dham Yatra Package from Delhi 2027

Why most Do Dham journeys start in Delhi

Delhi is where the majority of Kedarnath and Badrinath pilgrims begin, whether they live in the city or arrive at its airport and railway stations from elsewhere in India. The road north to Haridwar is about 230 km, and from there the Ganga valley leads straight into the Garhwal hills. Starting from Delhi adds one day at each end of the trip compared with a Haridwar start, but it removes every transfer worry: the same car and driver are with you from your doorstep to the last evening.

Our Delhi plan is 6 nights and 7 days. It spends the first night by the Ganga in Haridwar, two nights in Guptkashi, one at Kedarnath, one at Badrinath and one at Srinagar Garhwal before the drive home. That rhythm keeps the longest hill drives in daylight and puts a lower-altitude night before the Kedarnath climb, which matters for elders and first-timers.

Do Dham from Delhi: 2027 price estimates

The rates below are per person on twin or triple sharing, for four people sharing one vehicle. They are 2027 estimates; your final quote depends on travel dates, hotel category and the number of travellers.

Hotel categoryVehicle for 4MealsPrice per person
BudgetDzire or ErtigaBreakfast + dinner₹15,500
DeluxeErtiga or Innova CrystaBreakfast + dinner₹22,000
LuxuryInnova CrystaAll meals₹33,000

Kedarnath helicopter, pony, palki and the Sonprayag–Gaurikund jeep are paid separately. Fares and rates change every season.

Larger families and groups

Six to eight travellers usually move into an Innova Crysta or two cars; ten to twelve fit in a Tempo Traveller, which brings the per-head cost down. If you already live near Haridwar or prefer to take a train there, the Haridwar package starts at ₹13,500. Families wanting all four shrines can compare the Char Dham package from Delhi, or the three-shrine Teen Dham from Delhi.

Day-by-day: Delhi to Kedarnath, Badrinath and back

  1. Day
    1

    Delhi to Haridwar

    230 km6–7 hoursNight: Haridwar

Your driver collects you from home, a hotel, the airport or a railway station in the morning. The expressway and NH-334 bring you to Haridwar by mid-afternoon, leaving time to check in and walk to Har Ki Pauri. The evening Ganga aarti, with hundreds of lamps floating downstream, is a fitting start to the yatra.

  2. Day
    2

    Haridwar to Guptkashi

    200 km7–8 hoursNight: Guptkashi

An early departure beats the Rishikesh traffic. The road climbs alongside the Ganga to Devprayag, where two rivers meet, then follows the Alaknanda to Rudraprayag before turning up the Mandakini. Guptkashi, at about 1,300 m, is a comfortable base with views of the Chaukhamba massif.

  3. Day
    3

    Guptkashi to Kedarnath

30 km drive + 16 km trekMost of the dayNight: Kedarnath

Leave before dawn for Sonprayag, where yatra registrations are checked, and take the shared jeep to Gaurikund. The trek follows the river through Jungle Chatti and Linchauli to the temple town. Pony, palki and pithoo are available at Gaurikund, and anyone holding IRCTC shuttle tickets flies from the helipad instead. Evening aarti at the temple ends the day.

  4. Day
    4

    Kedarnath darshan, return to Guptkashi

16 km trek + 30 km driveFull dayNight: Guptkashi

Join the darshan queue early, when the line is shortest and the peaks behind the temple catch first light. Visit the Bhairavnath temple and the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi before starting down. Your driver waits at Sonprayag and takes you back to the same Guptkashi hotel for a well-earned rest.

  5. Day
    5

    Guptkashi to Badrinath

    200 km8–9 hoursNight: Badrinath

The road crosses the ridge between two valleys via Ukhimath and the forests near Chopta, then drops to Chamoli on the Alaknanda. Past Joshimath the valley narrows dramatically before opening out at Badrinath. A dip in the Tapt Kund and the evening aarti are possible if you arrive in time.

  6. Day
    6

Badrinath darshan, Mana, drive to Srinagar

About 195 km7–8 hours after darshanNight: Srinagar Garhwal

Morning darshan of Badri Narayan is usually the calmest. Afterwards, visit Mana village, 3 km away, for Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa and Bhim Pul over the Saraswati. Drive back down the Alaknanda through the Panch Prayag towns to Srinagar Garhwal for the night.

  7. Day
    7

    Srinagar Garhwal to Delhi

About 360 km10–11 hoursNight: Tour ends

This is the longest day, so we leave by sunrise. The road passes Devprayag and Rishikesh, then crosses the plains via Haridwar and Meerut. You are dropped at home, your hotel or the station in the evening; late-night trains and flights are safest booked for the following day.

Prefer a gentler finish? Add a night in Haridwar or Rishikesh on the way back and reach Delhi by lunch on day 8. Ask for the price difference with your quote.

Where we pick you up in Delhi NCR

Pick-up and drop are included anywhere in Delhi and the nearby NCR towns. Families from Faridabad and Ghaziabad are collected from home at the same price. Out-of-town guests are met at:

  • New Delhi, Old Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Anand Vihar railway stations
  • Any hotel in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad or Ghaziabad

Practical advice for Delhi travellers

  • Leave Delhi early. A 6 am start avoids city traffic and gets you to Haridwar for the aarti.
  • Register before you pack. The Char Dham registration is free and checked at Sonprayag; carry the QR code and photo ID.
  • Dress for two climates. Delhi may be 40°C in May while Kedarnath mornings are near freezing. See things to carry.
  • Watch the helicopter window. Shuttle seats from Phata, Sersi and Guptkashi sell out within minutes on IRCTC; read our IRCTC booking guide.
  • Avoid peak weekends. Late May and early June see the longest queues. Mid-September to October is quieter; check the best time to visit.

Do Dham Yatra from Delhi: FAQ

Why is the Delhi package one day longer than the Haridwar one?

The drive between Delhi and Haridwar takes six to seven hours each way. Rather than squeezing it into a mountain day, we give it a day of its own at the start, and combine the return with the descent from Srinagar Garhwal on the last day.

Can I start from Delhi airport straight after my flight lands?

Yes, if the flight lands by about 10 am. Later arrivals should spend a night in Delhi or drive to Haridwar in the evening, so that the hill drive on day 2 starts on time.

What does the Do Dham package from Delhi cost for two people?

Two people travelling alone in a car pay more per head than a group of four, because the vehicle cost is shared by fewer travellers. Send us your dates for an exact figure; the four-person budget estimate is ₹15,500 each.

Is there a direct road from Kedarnath to Badrinath?

There is no road from the Kedarnath temple itself, but from Guptkashi a road runs via Ukhimath and Chopta to Chamoli and on to Badrinath. It is about 200 km and takes eight to nine hours.

Can we do Badrinath first and Kedarnath later?

Yes. Some families reverse the loop when helicopter tickets are available only on later dates. The total number of days stays the same.

Do you offer a Delhi to Kedarnath and Badrinath helicopter trip?

Our Do Dham helicopter charter flies from Dehradun, and we can add a road or air transfer from Delhi. For the road trip with an IRCTC shuttle, see the Kedarnath helicopter package from Delhi.

Is food at the hotels vegetarian?

Most hotels on the route serve simple vegetarian North Indian meals, and Kedarnath and Badrinath are vegetarian towns. Tell us about any dietary needs when booking.
