Rajpur sits at the foot of the old road to Mussoorie, which is exactly the road the yatra takes on its first morning. Your car collects you at home and you are in the Yamuna valley by afternoon.
If you live in Rajpur, along Rajpur Road or in the colonies below Mussoorie, you are already at the gateway. Most pilgrims spend two days just reaching Haridwar or Dehradun; you skip all of that. Your vehicle picks you up in the morning, climbs straight up to Mussoorie and drops into the Yamuna valley, reaching Barkot the same evening.
Locals still book a package for good reasons. Hill hotels at Barkot, Uttarkashi, Guptkashi, Kedarnath and Badrinath fill months ahead in peak weeks, Kedarnath days need careful timing, and few families want to drive 1,200 km of mountain road themselves. We handle the rooms, the hill driver, the permits and the day plan, and drop you back home after ten days. The route is the same as our Char Dham tour from Dehradun.

Helicopter yatra from Sahastradhara
Rajpur residents are only a short drive from the Sahastradhara helipad, the usual starting point for Char Dham helicopter charters. A 5-night charter flies to Kharsali for Yamunotri, Harsil for Gangotri, the Guptkashi or Phata area for Kedarnath (by shuttle) and Badrinath, then back to Dehradun. Charters start around ₹2,15,000 per person. See the helicopter yatra from Dehradun for details.
This is a private charter booking. Kedarnath shuttle tickets from Phata, Sersi and Guptkashi are a different product, sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal; read IRCTC helicopter booking.

Local tips
Living in the Doon valley does not make you used to 3,500 m; take Kedarnath slowly and watch for headaches.
Avoid Mussoorie weekend traffic on Day 1 by starting before 8 am or choosing a weekday departure.
September and October suit locals best: the monsoon is over and school breaks do not crowd the road. More on the best time to visit.
Keep a warm layer and rain jacket in the car; weather changes quickly above Barkot. Our packing list helps.
