- Private car and driver
- Best value per day
For families in Vashi, Nerul, Kharghar, Belapur and Panvel: how to fit the four Himalayan dhams into your leave, whether you have twelve days, a week, or just a long weekend.
Most enquiries we receive from Navi Mumbai begin with the same question: how many days of leave will this really take? The honest answer for all four shrines by road is about two weeks door to door, twelve of them on the tour itself. The yatra cannot be rushed much further, because the hill roads are slow and the Yamunotri and Kedarnath walks each need a full day.
Mumbai to Delhi is roughly 1,400 km by rail, so the journey north is either a flight of about two hours or a day-long train ride. From Delhi, our Char Dham package from Delhi handles everything on the ground. If two weeks is not possible, this page also shows a one-week Do Dham plan and the helicopter route that compresses the circuit into six days.
Prices are per person, starting from, 2027 estimates. The helicopter charter is a private booking and is separate from the Kedarnath shuttle tickets sold on IRCTC HeliYatra.
By air: Flights to Delhi leave through the day from Mumbai's main airport, and the new Navi Mumbai airport adds more choice as its routes grow. A morning flight lets you land in Delhi by midday and reach Haridwar the same evening. Some travellers connect on to Dehradun instead and join the Haridwar tour two days shorter.
By train: Panvel is a major junction on the Konkan line, and some long-distance trains heading north stop there; others leave from Mumbai's terminals, a short ride away. A few run through towards Haridwar or Dehradun on set days. Book early for May and June. Our Char Dham by train guide lists what to check.
| Package | Duration | Budget | Deluxe | Luxury |

All rates are per person for four sharing a vehicle and twin or triple rooms. Couples travelling alone pay more per head; groups of six in an Innova Crysta pay about the same. Your final quote depends on the dates, the hotels you prefer and the size of your group.
Our driver meets your flight or train in Delhi and heads north on the Meerut highway. By late afternoon you check in at Haridwar. If energy allows, catch the evening aarti at Har Ki Pauri before dinner.
The road climbs from Dehradun to Mussoorie, then winds down into the Yamuna valley. Expect slow, scenic driving with a lunch stop on the way. Barkot is a small town, quiet after dark, ideal for an early night.
From Janki Chatti, the path climbs 6 km to the temple of Goddess Yamuna; ponies, palkis and pithoos are available. Pilgrims cook rice in the hot Surya Kund as prasad. Return to Barkot in the evening, tired but happy.
A shorter transfer gives you a slower morning. The road crosses into the Bhagirathi valley and reaches Uttarkashi by lunch. Rest, or visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple in town.
Drive past Gangnani's hot springs and the pine and deodar forests of Harsil to Gangotri. Darshan here needs no trek, as the road ends near the temple. Spend time at the ghats and Bhagirath Shila before returning to Uttarkashi.
A full day on the road takes you past Tehri dam to the Mandakini valley. This is a good day for a downloaded playlist and some snacks. Arrive by evening and prepare a light bag for Kedarnath.
Take the shared jeep from Sonprayag to Gaurikund and start up the trail, or ride a pony or palki. Travellers with IRCTC shuttle tickets fly from Phata, Sersi or Guptkashi in a few minutes. Spend the night close to the temple and attend the evening aarti.
An early darshan of the Jyotirlinga is the highlight of the yatra for many. Visit Bhairavnath temple and the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi. Walk down and drive back to your hotel to rest.
Drive through Ukhimath and Chamoli to the Alaknanda valley. Past Joshimath the road climbs to Badrinath at 3,133 m. A dip in the Tapt Kund warms you before the evening aarti.
Take darshan of Lord Badri Narayan in the morning. Mana village, with Vyas Gufa and Bhim Pul, is just 3 km away. Afterwards drive down to Rudraprayag or Srinagar Garhwal.
On the way down, stop at Devprayag, where two rivers merge to form the Ganga. Rishikesh is a good place for a short stroll and lunch. Spend the night in Haridwar.
Drive to Delhi for your evening flight or train back to Mumbai. Book return travel after 5 pm to leave room for highway traffic. The tour ends at the airport or station.
For all four dhams by road, about 14 days including travel to and from Delhi. Do Dham needs about 8–9 days, and the helicopter Char Dham about 7 days including flights.
The road package from Delhi starts near ₹24,500 per person for a group of four on budget hotels, plus your own flight or train. These are 2027 estimates; the final quote depends on dates, hotels and group size.
Delhi has more flights and lower fares. Flying on to Dehradun lets you join the 9-night Haridwar tour and saves two days of highway driving.
Not all four shrines. A same-day helicopter charter from Dehradun to Kedarnath or Badrinath is possible; see Ek Dham helicopter. The road yatra needs at least a week even for two shrines.
Some long-distance trains from the Mumbai area run through towards Haridwar or Dehradun on set days, and many more reach Delhi. Check the current timetable on IRCTC.
