Hyderabad and Secunderabad families can be in Delhi in a little over two hours by air. From the arrivals hall onwards, our team runs the whole twelve-day road yatra.
The four dhams are a long way from the Deccan plateau. Secunderabad to Delhi is roughly 1,650 km by rail, and Haridwar another 230 km by road. Yet each summer thousands of Telugu-speaking pilgrims make the journey, many of them parents travelling with grown-up children who have taken leave to accompany them.
The trip falls into two halves. The first, getting to Delhi, is something you book yourself, usually a flight from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The second is our Char Dham Yatra from Delhi: a private vehicle, hotels for eleven nights, meals and support all the way to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath and back.
Splitting the trip this way also keeps it flexible. You can choose the cheapest flight on the day, travel a day early to see Delhi, or take the train one way. Whatever you choose, the mountain part stays the same, with the same hotels, the same driver and the same daily rhythm of early starts and early nights.

Food. Meals are North Indian vegetarian; carry pickles or podi if you miss home flavours.
Register each traveller free online or on the app; see the registration guide.
Kedarnath helicopter seats are sold only on IRCTC HeliYatra; read our IRCTC guide and avoid fake sites.
Timing: mid-September to October is quieter than May–June; check best time to visit.
