Char Dham Yatra Package from Jabalpur 2027

Planning Char Dham from Jabalpur

Jabalpur families who have bathed at Gwarighat and climbed to the temples above Bhedaghat often name the Char Dham as the pilgrimage they want to complete together. The four shrines lie roughly 1,000 km to the north by rail, so the trip has two parts: getting from Madhya Pradesh to the edge of the hills, and then the ten-odd days of mountain road and trek that make up the yatra itself.

We handle the second part. Our Char Dham Yatra package from Delhi is the most practical fit for Jabalpur, because Delhi is where your train or flight lands. A driver meets you there, and the same vehicle stays with you for all 12 days until you are back at the station or airport. If your train brings you straight to Haridwar instead, you can join our shorter Haridwar package and save two days.

How to travel from Jabalpur to Delhi or Haridwar

Jabalpur is well placed on the rail map. Several trains connect it to Delhi, most of them overnight, and the city airport has flights to Delhi. Pick whichever suits your budget and the elders in your group; we fix the pick-up time once you share your ticket.

Advice for pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh

  • The weather flips. Jabalpur can touch 45°C in May while Kedarnath mornings are near freezing. Pack thermals and a down jacket even if it feels absurd at home.
  • Register early. The yatra registration is free and mandatory; do it online or on the Tourist Care Uttarakhand app. See our registration guide.
  • Kedarnath helicopter. Shuttle tickets are sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal. Avoid any other website or agent offering them.
  • Avoid the monsoon. July and August bring landslides; the best time to visit is May–June or mid-September to October.
  • Pack light. One bag per person fits the car better; full list in things to carry.
  • Health check. Elders with heart, blood pressure or breathing issues should see a doctor before booking.

Char Dham Yatra from Jabalpur: FAQ

How far is Jabalpur from the Char Dham?

Jabalpur is about 1,000 km from Delhi by rail, and Haridwar is another 230 km. The four shrines are then spread over a road circuit of about 1,250 km from Haridwar.

Does the package price include the train from Jabalpur?

No. The ₹24,500 starting price is the land package from Delhi to Delhi. You book the train or flight yourself, and we can suggest timings that fit the tour.

How many days should I take leave for?

Plan 14 days in total: 12 days for the tour from Delhi and roughly one day of travel each way between Jabalpur and Delhi.

Can we start from Haridwar instead of Delhi?

Yes. If you reach Haridwar directly, the 9N/10D package from Haridwar starts at about ₹21,500 per person for four people on budget hotels.

Is the Char Dham Yatra safe for my parents?

Yes, with planning. Gangotri and Badrinath are reachable by road. Yamunotri and Kedarnath involve treks, but ponies, palkis and Kedarnath helicopter shuttles are available. A medical check-up before travel is wise.

Can you book the Kedarnath helicopter for us?

Shuttle tickets are sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal after registration. We help you prepare and plan the itinerary around your ticket, and can arrange a private charter helicopter yatra separately.

Which month is best for a Jabalpur group?

Mid-September to October is ideal if school holidays allow: clear skies and smaller crowds. May and June suit families with children but are busier.
