Planning the Himalayan dhams from Vizag

Families in Visakhapatnam who already make regular visits to Simhachalam and Tirumala often save up for one big northern pilgrimage. For many, that is Kedarnath and Badrinath, with Gangotri added because the source of the Ganga is too meaningful to miss. That trio is our Teen Dham Yatra: eight nights on the road from Delhi, three shrines and a single vehicle and driver throughout.

The distance is the main hurdle. Visakhapatnam is roughly 1,800 km from Delhi, more than a day by train. Most families fly to Delhi, directly or with one stop depending on the schedule, and begin the tour the same day. Train travellers arrive tired after more than a day on board, so we suggest a rest night in Delhi before day 1.

Whichever you choose, send us your arrival time and the driver will be there. If you arrive by train, book a hotel near the station for the first night; we can include it in your quote. The Char Dham by train and by air guides cover connections in more detail, and the return journey works the same way in reverse.
