Char Dham Yatra Package from Warangal 2027

From the Deccan to the Himalaya

For a family in Warangal, Hanamkonda or Kazipet, the Char Dham Yatra is the journey of a lifetime in every sense. The four shrines stand in the Garhwal Himalaya of Uttarakhand, and just reaching Delhi means covering roughly 1,600 km by rail. Nobody drives that far for a pilgrimage; the sensible plan is to reach Delhi by train or plane, then let a local hill driver take over.

Our road package is designed exactly for that. It begins and ends in Delhi, covers Haridwar and all four dhams — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath — and includes hotels, breakfast, dinner and a private vehicle for 12 days.

Train or flight? Comparing the options from Warangal

Kazipet Junction lies on the main line linking South India with Delhi, so many long-distance trains stop there. Warangal station itself is served by several of them too. The alternative is to drive to Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, about three to four hours away, and fly.

RouteTravel timeDays usedBest for
Train Kazipet/Warangal → Delhi22–28 hours1.5 days each wayLower cost, plenty of luggage
Road to Hyderabad + flight to Delhi6–7 hours in total1 day each wayElders, short leave
Road to Hyderabad + flight to DehradunDirect or one-stop; check airlines1 day each wayJoining the 9N/10D plan from Haridwar

A practical mix many families choose: train to Delhi with time to rest on the way, and a flight home when everyone is tired after the yatra. Whatever you pick, plan to reach Delhi the evening before day 1. Our pages on travelling by train and flying in go into more detail, and pilgrims from the capital region can compare with the Hyderabad package.

Advice for pilgrims from Telangana

  • The cold is the biggest change. Warangal rarely drops below 15°C; Kedarnath can be near zero at dawn in May. Carry thermals, a jacket, cap and gloves.
  • Food is North Indian. Rice is usually available at dinner, but it will not taste like home. A packet of pickle or podi goes a long way.
  • Language. Hindi is spoken everywhere on the route; keep one Hindi speaker in your group or use our phone support when needed.
  • Registration. Every traveller must register online or on the Tourist Care Uttarakhand app before the trip. See the registration guide.
  • Timing. May–June and mid-September to October are best; avoid the monsoon months. See opening dates for 2027.

Char Dham Yatra from Warangal: questions answered

What is the Char Dham package cost from Warangal?

The 11N/12D road package from Delhi starts at about ₹24,500 per person in budget hotels (group of four), ₹35,500 in deluxe and ₹53,500 in luxury. Travel from Warangal to Delhi is extra. These are 2027 estimates.

How many days do we need in total?

Allow about 15 days by train (a day and a half each way plus the 12-day yatra) or 14 days if you fly from Hyderabad.

Is it better to take the train or fly from Hyderabad?

Trains from Kazipet or Warangal are cheaper and easy with luggage but take 22–28 hours. Flying from Hyderabad saves almost a day each way, which matters for elders and those with limited leave.

Can we start from Haridwar instead of Delhi?

Yes. If you reach Haridwar or Dehradun yourself, the 9N/10D plan from Haridwar starts at ₹21,500 per person for four in budget hotels, or ₹18,500 per seat on a fixed departure.

Is the Char Dham Yatra suitable for elderly parents?

With planning, yes. Gangotri and Badrinath are road-accessible. For Yamunotri and Kedarnath, ponies, palkis or the IRCTC shuttle helicopter help. A medical check-up before travel is strongly advised.

Do you sell Kedarnath helicopter tickets?

No. Shuttle tickets are sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal after registration. We guide you through it and plan around your seats. For a guaranteed flight, a private helicopter charter is a separate option.
