For many Indian families, the Innova is simply "the yatra car": big enough for parents, children and luggage, and strong enough for the climb to Badrinath. Here is how an Innova package works from whichever city you start.
People still search for an "Innova package", but the vehicle you will travel in today is the Innova Crysta, the newer generation of the same family car. It keeps what made the original popular on pilgrim routes – seven seats, a high driving position and a sturdy build – and adds a smoother ride, better air-conditioning and more power for long climbs. When we say Innova on this page, it is the Crysta that turns up.
An Innova package suits a family of five or six, or two couples who want space. It can begin in the hills at Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun, or come down to collect you in Delhi and nearby cities. Wherever it starts, the car and driver stay with you for the whole yatra.

Three stretches show the difference. The climb from Dehradun to Mussoorie on day 1 is steep and full of hairpins. The Uttarkashi to Guptkashi run on day 5 is the longest in the hills, and the road from Chamoli to Badrinath has rough patches where slips are cleared each season. In a small car these feel cramped and bumpy; in the Innova, passengers can doze, chat or read, and arrive with energy left for darshan. That is why so many families with elders specifically ask for it.
