Char Dham Yatra Package from Jodhpur 2027

From the Blue City to the four dhams

For a family from Jodhpur, the Char Dham Yatra is as much a change of world as a pilgrimage. You leave a city where May afternoons pass 40°C and, within two days, stand beside the Yamuna's icy source. That contrast is wonderful, but it also shapes the plan: warm clothes, a gradual climb and enough rest between long drives.

The simplest route is an overnight train to Delhi, arriving in the morning, followed by our Char Dham Yatra package from Delhi. Your driver meets you at the station and stays with you until the tour ends back in Delhi twelve days later. If you prefer to skip Delhi, you can reach Haridwar or Dehradun on your own and take the 9N/10D Haridwar package.

Planning ahead: the 2026 yatra season is closing in November 2026, and this page is for the 2027 season. We share confirmed opening dates as soon as the temple committees announce them.

Desert to glacier: tips for Jodhpur travellers

  • Layer up. Pack thermals, a fleece and a warm jacket; mountain mornings feel freezing to anyone used to Marwar heat.
  • Drink water, climb slowly. Altitude affects people more than they expect. Rest at Guptkashi before Kedarnath.
  • Food preferences. Hotels serve vegetarian North Indian meals; tell us about Jain or no-onion needs so we can request them where available.
  • Register. Free and mandatory on the Uttarakhand portal or app; see our registration guide.
  • Helicopter seats. Kedarnath shuttle tickets are sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal. Read our helicopter booking guide.
  • Do's and don'ts. A quick read of Char Dham do's and don'ts saves trouble on the road.

Char Dham Yatra from Jodhpur: FAQ

What is the cheapest way to do Char Dham from Jodhpur?

An overnight train to Delhi or Haridwar followed by a budget road package. From Haridwar, the 9N/10D tour starts near ₹21,500 per person for four; a fixed departure seat starts near ₹18,500.

How long is the trip in total?

Twelve days from Delhi plus one night of train travel each way, so about 14 days from Jodhpur.

Do you pick up from Jodhpur?

Jodhpur is too far for a practical road pick-up, so the tour starts in Delhi. We meet you at the station or airport.

Can elderly parents manage the yatra?

Yes, with ponies or palkis at Yamunotri and Kedarnath, or a Kedarnath helicopter shuttle. A full helicopter yatra avoids long drives altogether.

Is May too hot to travel from Rajasthan?

The plains will be hot, but the yatra towns are pleasant and the shrines are cold. May and June are the busiest months; mid-September to October is quieter.

What are the 2027 opening dates?

Gangotri and Yamunotri usually open on Akshaya Tritiya; Kedarnath and Badrinath dates are announced in winter. Check our opening dates page.

Can we add Vaishno Devi or Amritsar?

Yes. See the Char Dham with Amritsar tour or the Vaishno Devi combination, both starting from Delhi.
