Teen Dham from Delhi
- Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath
- Three days shorter
- Same hotels and car
From the banks of the Brahmaputra and the hill of Kamakhya to the sources of the Yamuna and Ganga. A single flight brings you to Delhi; we take care of the Himalayan part.
Devotees in Guwahati live beside one of India's great rivers and one of its most revered Shakti shrines. The Char Dham Yatra takes you to the other end of the Himalaya, to the sources of the Yamuna and the Ganga, and to the shrines of Lord Shiva at Kedarnath and Lord Vishnu at Badrinath. It is a long journey from Assam, roughly 1,900 km to Delhi by road, but with good planning it is no harder than a trip from Mumbai or Chennai.
The fastest route is a flight from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport to Delhi, about two and a half to three hours. Our driver meets you there and runs the Char Dham Yatra from Delhi, 11 nights and 12 days. If a connecting flight to Dehradun suits you better, the Dehradun package is two days shorter.
Guwahati has many daily flights to Delhi. Morning departures work best, so you land by early afternoon and drive to Haridwar the same day. Many Northeast travellers prefer to arrive the evening before and rest one night in Delhi; tell us and we will add a hotel near the airport.
Flights to Dehradun's Jolly Grant airport usually involve a change in Delhi or another hub. You save the Delhi–Haridwar drive at both ends, which is useful for elders. Compare both choices on our Char Dham by air page.
Long-distance trains from Guwahati to Delhi take well over a day each way. They are useful for large groups on a tight budget, but add three to four days to the trip. See the Char Dham by train guide.
