Arrow Aviation is one of several helicopter company names that turn up when people research Kedarnath flights. Whichever operators are chosen for a season, the arrangement is the same: the state allots each helipad to an operator, fares are fixed per helipad, and every shuttle seat is sold through the IRCTC HeliYatra portal. An operator's own website, a call centre number or a travel agent cannot legitimately sell you a shuttle seat.

So the real task is not finding the right company but booking in the right place and arriving prepared. • The web address is not heliyatra.irctc.co.in. Look carefully; fake domains often add words like "booking", "kedarnath" or "heli" to look official.
• Payment goes to a personal UPI ID or bank account, or to a name that has nothing to do with IRCTC.
• They promise seats on dates IRCTC shows as sold out, often for an extra "VIP" or "emergency quota" fee.
• There is no yatra registration step. Genuine tickets are tied to each traveller's registration number.
• Only a WhatsApp number is offered, with pressure to pay within minutes.
• The ticket arrives as an edited image rather than a document from the portal.

The safe way to book

1. Complete the free yatra registration for each traveller on registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in or the Tourist Care Uttarakhand app. Our registration guide shows how.
2. Open heliyatra.irctc.co.in directly, typing the address yourself rather than clicking an advert.
3. Pick the helipad and date; the operator for that helipad is shown with the booking.
4. Pay only inside the IRCTC portal and download the ticket document.
5. Check every name and ID number against what each traveller will carry on the day.
