Char Dham Yatra Package from Kolhapur 2027

How a Kolhapur family plans the Char Dham

Devotees of Mahalakshmi and Jyotiba often save for years for a single grand northern pilgrimage, and the Char Dham Yatra is usually top of the list. Kolhapur lies about 1,700 km from Delhi, and the city's own air and rail links to the north are limited. That means the trip works best when you first decide how you will reach Delhi, then fit our tour around it.

Our recommendation for most Kolhapur groups is our Char Dham package from Delhi. You arrive by train or flight, our driver meets you, and the vehicle stays with you for twelve days. If you can reach Haridwar or Dehradun directly, the Haridwar package trims two days and some cost.

Three ways from Kolhapur to Delhi

Direct train from Kolhapur

A few direct trains link Kolhapur with Delhi, but they do not run daily and the journey takes well over a day. Book as soon as reservations open if your dates match. Our Char Dham by train guide explains how to pair train timings with the tour.

Via Pune

Pune is about 230 km from Kolhapur, roughly four to five hours by road or rail. From Pune there are many daily flights to Delhi and a choice of trains. This is the route most Kolhapur groups take.

Via Mumbai

Mumbai offers the widest choice of flights and trains north, including flights to Dehradun. It is a longer first leg from Kolhapur, so it suits those who can stay a night with relatives on the way. Compare flying options on our Char Dham by air page.

Groups from a mandal or temple trust often travel 10–12 strong; a Tempo Traveller then brings the budget rate from Haridwar down to about ₹19,500 per head. For larger groups, ask about our Char Dham bus tour. If you are only two, a seat on the fixed departure tour is the economical route.
