From the city of the Golden Temple to the four dhams of Garhwal, all in one vehicle. Your driver collects you in Amritsar, crosses Punjab and Haryana to Haridwar, and brings you home after the yatra.
Amritsar sits at the far edge of the distance we cover with home pick-up. Haridwar is about 440 km away along the Grand Trunk Road through Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Ambala, then via Yamunanagar and Saharanpur: a long day of nine to ten hours, but on good plains highway. After that, the same vehicle drives every kilometre of the pilgrimage and brings you back to Amritsar at the end.

Adding Hemkund Sahib to the yatra
Hemkund Sahib, set beside a glacial lake at well over 4,000 m, is reached from Govindghat near Badrinath via Ghangaria. The walk is steep and usually split over two days, with a night at Ghangaria. A helicopter between Govindghat and Ghangaria costs about ₹4,500 one way (estimate, weather dependent). The Valley of Flowers is also reached from Ghangaria.
Hemkund Sahib opens later than the Char Dham shrines, usually around late May or June, so the combined trip suits June or September travellers.
Add about two to three days to the plan for the Hemkund visit.
Can we start the Char Dham Yatra from Amritsar by car?
Yes. Our vehicle picks you up at home in Amritsar, drives about 440 km to Haridwar, completes the four dhams and brings you back.
What is the Char Dham Yatra price from Amritsar?
From about ₹27,500 per person in budget hotels for four people, ₹38,500 in deluxe and ₹55,500 in luxury. These are 2027 estimates; your quote depends on dates, hotels and group size.
Can Hemkund Sahib be included?
Yes, with two to three extra days via Govindghat and Ghangaria. It opens later than the Char Dham, so June or September works best.
How long is the drive from Amritsar to Haridwar?
About 440 km, nine to ten hours with stops.
Is there a cheaper way?
Take a train or bus to Haridwar and join the 9N/10D package from ₹21,500 per person, or a fixed-departure seat from ₹18,500.
Do you book Kedarnath helicopter tickets?
No. Shuttle tickets are sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal after registration. We help with the process and plan around your seats.
Can we do only Kedarnath and Badrinath?
Yes. See the Do Dham Yatra; we can quote it with Amritsar pick-up.
