A complete flying yatra for Delhi NCR families: we drive you to Dehradun, fly you to all four dhams over five nights, and drive you home again. One quote, one coordinator.
The helicopter yatra itself starts at the Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun, about 250 km from Delhi. The difficult part for Delhi families is usually not the flying but the logistics around it: getting to Dehradun in time for an early slot, deciding where to stay the night before, and getting home on the last day when everyone is tired. This package folds all of that into one booking.
A private car collects you from your home or hotel anywhere in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad or Faridabad and drives you to Dehradun the day before the flights. On day 6, after the final flight from Badrinath, the same car brings you back to your door. Everything in between, the five nights near the shrines, meals and transfers at each helipad, is arranged by us. Looking for a road trip instead? The Char Dham package from Delhi takes 11 nights by car.

Itinerary: Delhi to the four dhams and home
On the day before the yatra, your car leaves Delhi around midday and reaches Dehradun by evening, a drive of about 5–6 hours. Day 1 below begins the next morning.
Day 1
Dehradun to Kharsali, Yamunotri
About 40 minutes flyingNight: Kharsali
After breakfast you are taken to Sahastradhara for check-in and the weigh-in. The helicopter heads north over the Mussoorie hills to Kharsali, the winter home of Goddess Yamuna. In the afternoon you go up the 6 km path from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri on foot, by pony or by palki, and return by evening.

Day 2
Kharsali to Harsil, Gangotri
Short flight + about 25 km by roadNight: Harsil
A brief morning flight takes you to Harsil. Drive up to Gangotri for darshan of Goddess Ganga and a quiet moment at Bhagirath Shila, where King Bhagirath is said to have prayed for the river's descent. Return to Harsil for dinner.
Day 3
Harsil to Guptkashi
About 45 minutes flyingNight: Guptkashi
Fly across the ridges to the Mandakini valley and check in at Guptkashi. The day is kept easy on purpose, so that you are rested before Kedarnath. Your coordinator confirms the next morning's slot.
Day 4
Kedarnath darshan
A few minutes each wayNight: Guptkashi
Fly up early to the Kedarnath helipad and walk to the temple. After darshan of the Jyotirlinga, visit the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi and soak in the amphitheatre of peaks around the shrine. Fly back down to Guptkashi for the night.

Day 5
Guptkashi to Badrinath
About 30 minutes flyingNight: Badrinath
The flight crosses to the Alaknanda valley and lands at Badrinath. Bathe in the Tapt Kund, take darshan of Badri Narayan and attend the evening aarti. If the weather allows, visit Mana village and the Vyas Gufa.
Day 6
Badrinath to Dehradun, drive to Delhi
About 250 km by road1 hour flying + 5–6 hours driveNight: Tour ends
Take an early darshan and fly back to Sahastradhara. Your car is waiting at the helipad for the drive to Delhi, with a lunch stop on the way. You are home by late evening, depending on traffic at the Delhi end.
Not sure you need all four dhams?
The full circuit is the most rewarding way to fly, but it is not the only one. Delhi families often discover that a shorter helicopter trip covers the shrines that matter most to them, at a much lower cost. Every option below can be booked with the same Delhi road transfers.
Kedarnath and Badrinath only. The Do Dham helicopter yatra takes one night from Dehradun, from about ₹1,25,000 per person.
Three shrines without the Yamunotri walk. The Teen Dham helicopter yatra visits Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath in 4 nights, from about ₹1,75,000.
A single shrine in a day. The Ek Dham helicopter flies to Kedarnath or Badrinath and back, from ₹95,000 to ₹1,05,000.
All prices are 2027 estimates per person in a shared group flight. If budget matters more than time, the road route remains excellent value: our Delhi road package starts near ₹24,500 per person for 11 nights.

Preparing from Delhi
Pack two bags. One small soft bag goes on the helicopter; the larger one stays in the car or at the Dehradun hotel.
Dress in layers. Delhi may be 40°C in May while Kedarnath mornings are close to freezing.
Register early. Every passenger needs the free yatra registration and photo ID. See the registration guide.
Check health. Elders with heart, lung or blood pressure conditions should consult a doctor; Kedarnath is at 3,583 m.
Keep day 7 flexible. If weather delays the last leg, you may reach Delhi a day later.
