From the steel township of Bhilai to the snow shrines of Garhwal: take the train from Durg or a flight from Raipur to Delhi, and we handle every kilometre of the yatra from there.
Bhilai sits in the plains of central Chhattisgarh, roughly 1,300 km by rail from Delhi and close to 1,500 km from Haridwar. There is no sensible way to drive that whole distance and still arrive fresh for a Himalayan pilgrimage, so almost every family from Bhilai, Durg and Raipur does the trip in two parts: first a train or flight to Delhi, then a private road yatra through Uttarakhand.
That second part is what we organise. Our Char Dham Yatra package from Delhi collects you at the railway station or airport, drives you to Haridwar on the first day and brings you back to Delhi twelve days later, after darshan at Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. You book your own tickets from Chhattisgarh, which keeps you free to pick the train, class or flight that suits your budget.
Families from the plant township often travel together; six to twelve people fit an Innova Crysta or Tempo Traveller and pay less per head. Couples who want company can take a seat on a fixed departure group tour.

Choosing your season

Char Dham Yatra from Bhilai: FAQ
How far is Bhilai from the Char Dham route?
Bhilai is about 1,300 km from Delhi by rail and close to 1,500 km from Haridwar. The four shrines themselves form a circuit of roughly 1,250 km of mountain road from Haridwar.
Should we take the train or fly from Raipur?
The train from Durg or Raipur takes roughly a day and is cheaper. A flight from Raipur to Delhi is about two hours and saves two days over the round trip. Many families take the train up and fly back.
What does the package cost for a family from Bhilai?
The road tour from Delhi starts at about ₹24,500 per person for four people on budget hotels, ₹35,500 on deluxe and ₹53,500 on luxury. Train or flight from Chhattisgarh is extra. These are 2027 estimates.
Can the yatra start from Haridwar instead of Delhi?
Yes. If you reach Haridwar by train, the Haridwar package is 9 nights and 10 days and starts from about ₹21,500 per person.
Is the trip suitable for retired parents?
Yes, with planning. Gangotri and Badrinath can both be reached by car, right up to the temple town. For Yamunotri and Kedarnath, ponies and palkis are available, and Kedarnath also has helicopter shuttles booked through IRCTC. A medical check-up before travel is wise.
Do you book the Kedarnath helicopter?
No. Shuttle tickets are sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal after registration. We help you prepare for the booking and adjust the itinerary to your flight time.
When will the 2027 opening dates be known?
Kedarnath's date is announced on Mahashivratri and Badrinath's on Basant Panchami; Gangotri and Yamunotri usually open on Akshaya Tritiya. Check our opening dates page.
