From the Gulf of Khambhat coast to the glaciers that feed the Ganga. For Bhavnagar families the journey usually runs through Ahmedabad to Delhi, where our road yatra begins.
Bhavnagar families know the sea-washed shrine of Nishkalank Mahadev at Koliyak, where the temple appears only at low tide. The Char Dham could hardly be more different: four mountain shrines between 3,100 and 3,583 m, reached by hairpin roads and, at Yamunotri and Kedarnath, by foot. What links them is devotion, and many Saurashtra families save for years to make this yatra together.
Bhavnagar is roughly 1,150 km from Delhi, and the most practical connection is usually through Ahmedabad, about 170 km and three to four hours away by road. From Ahmedabad there are many overnight trains and frequent direct flights to Delhi. Bhavnagar's own airport and railway terminus have fewer long-distance options, so check them first and fall back on Ahmedabad. In Delhi our car takes over for Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Getting from Bhavnagar to Delhi
Check direct options first. Look for trains from Bhavnagar Terminus towards Delhi and flights from Bhavnagar airport on your dates; when one fits, it is the simplest.
Otherwise go via Ahmedabad. Drive or take a bus to Ahmedabad (3–4 hours), then an overnight train or a short flight to Delhi.
Arrive the evening before day 1. A night's rest in Delhi makes the 230 km drive to Haridwar far easier.
Plan the return the same way. Book an evening train or flight from Delhi on day 12, then the connection to Bhavnagar.
Per person on twin or triple sharing, four people sharing one vehicle. 2027 estimates; the final quote depends on dates, hotels and group size. Train or air fare from Bhavnagar is extra.
Saurashtra groups often travel as large families or with their samaj. Ten to twelve people in one Tempo Traveller pay around ₹19,500 each from Haridwar on budget hotels. A pair travelling alone pays more, about ₹27,500 each; a fixed-departure seat at ₹18,500 can be better value.

Tips for Saurashtra families
Food. Vegetarian North Indian meals are the norm. Jain or no-onion-garlic food can be requested but is not guaranteed everywhere; carry khakhra, thepla and dry snacks.
Coast to cold. Bhavnagar rarely gets cold; the Himalaya does. Pack woollens and a rain jacket. See things to carry.
Travel to Delhi, usually via Ahmedabad by overnight train or a short flight. Our car picks you up in Delhi and drives you to Haridwar and the four dhams.
What is the Char Dham Yatra price from Bhavnagar?
The Delhi-to-Delhi land package starts at about ₹24,500 per person in budget hotels for four people, ₹35,500 in deluxe and ₹53,500 in luxury. Travel from Bhavnagar is extra. These are 2027 estimates.
Is there a direct train from Bhavnagar to Delhi?
Check IRCTC for current services from Bhavnagar Terminus. Most pilgrims find more choice from Ahmedabad.
How long will the whole trip take?
About 14 days: one day to reach Delhi, the 12-day yatra and one day back.
Will Jain food be available?
It can be requested at most hotels, but not every kitchen manages it. Carrying dry snacks from home is a good idea.
Do you book Kedarnath helicopter tickets?
No. Shuttle seats are sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal after registration. We help with the process and plan around your seats; avoid websites offering guaranteed tickets.
