Char Dham Yatra Package from Cuttack 2027

Two ways to start: Haridwar by rail or Delhi by air

Cuttack sits on the main rail line of coastal Odisha and is only about 30 km from Bhubaneswar's airport. That gives you two good choices. You can take a long-distance train and get off in Haridwar, the traditional gateway of the yatra, or fly from Bhubaneswar to Delhi and let us drive you up. Both routes lead to the same four shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Rail suits families with elders and plenty of luggage, and keeps costs low. Air suits working members with limited leave. Whichever you choose, our driver meets you at the station or airport and stays with your group for the whole trip. Pilgrims from neighbouring Bhubaneswar can read the Bhubaneswar page, which focuses on the air route.

Getting from Cuttack to Haridwar or Delhi

By train

At least one long-distance train on the Puri–Cuttack line runs through to Haridwar, and more trains connect Odisha with New Delhi. The journey to Haridwar is long, well over a day, so book AC berths and carry home food for the first meals. Check the current timetable on IRCTC when the booking window opens; seats fill quickly before the summer holidays. If you reach Haridwar late in the day, add a hotel night before Day 1.

By air

Bhubaneswar's Biju Patnaik airport has frequent flights to Delhi. Book an early flight so you land by early afternoon and reach Haridwar the same evening. The Char Dham Yatra by air guide explains timings for both Delhi and Dehradun arrivals.

Coming by train? Our Char Dham by train page lists what to plan for: arrival time, a buffer night and the return booking.

Advice for Cuttack families travelling with elders

  • Pick a calm month. Mid-September to October avoids peak crowds; read the best time to visit.
