Char Dham Yatra Package from Nagpur 2027

Planning the Char Dham Yatra from Nagpur

Nagpur sits almost exactly in the middle of the country, and that works in your favour. The capital is roughly 1,050 km away by rail, close enough for a single overnight-plus train journey or a flight of under two hours. Because the Himalayan shrines are still another 230 km beyond Delhi, the sensible plan for families from Vidarbha is simple: reach Delhi, meet your driver, and let the road tour do the rest.

Our Char Dham Yatra package from Delhi is built around that hand-over. You travel from Nagpur at your own pace, and from the moment you step out at the Delhi railway station or airport, the hotels, vehicle, permits and day-by-day plan are taken care of. Over eleven nights you visit Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, and return to Delhi in time for your train or flight home.

Getting from Nagpur to Delhi or Haridwar

Nagpur Junction is one of the busiest rail crossings in India, and several daily trains run north towards Delhi through Bhopal and Jhansi. Most families book a sleeper or AC berth, board in the afternoon or evening and reach Delhi the next day. Book as soon as reservations open, because May and June trains fill up fast with summer holiday travellers.

Tips for pilgrims from Nagpur and Vidarbha

From 45 °C to near freezing

May in Nagpur can touch 45 °C, while dawn at Kedarnath is close to zero even in June. Many Vidarbha travellers underestimate this jump. Pack a proper jacket, thermal inner wear, woollen cap and gloves, and keep them in your hand luggage for the cold nights at Kedarnath and Badrinath. Our packing list covers the rest.

Before you leave Nagpur

  • Register every traveller on the free official portal or the Tourist Care Uttarakhand app; see registration help.
  • Carry Aadhaar or another photo ID for each person.
  • Seniors should have a medical check-up, especially for the Kedarnath and Yamunotri walks.
  • Book return train tickets with a buffer day in case of road closures.
  • If you want Kedarnath shuttle seats, prepare for the IRCTC HeliYatra booking window; read how it works.
  • Go in May–June or mid-September to October and skip the July–August monsoon; compare months on our best time to visit page.
