Board a night train in the City of Lakes, wake up in Delhi, and start for the Himalaya the same morning. That is the simplest way for Bhopal families to begin the Char Dham Yatra.
Few cities in central India are as well placed for the Char Dham as Bhopal. It lies on the main rail line between Mumbai and Delhi, about 700 km south of the capital, and several trains cover that distance overnight. You lose no daylight travelling, and you need no hotel in Delhi.
Our Char Dham Yatra package from Delhi is built for exactly this kind of arrival. A driver meets you on the platform or at the airport, drives you to Haridwar, and then follows the classic order of the four shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Twelve days later he drops you back in Delhi for the train home.
Pilgrims from Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen and Hoshangabad often join Bhopal relatives on the same booking. Larger parties can take the train straight through to Haridwar and use the shorter Haridwar package, which saves two road days.
