Char Dham Yatra Package from Meerut 2027

The shortest run-in of any Char Dham trip

Most of our guests spend a full day just reaching Haridwar. From Meerut, it is a morning drive of about 145 km up the highway through Muzaffarnagar and Roorkee. That short approach lets us shape a tighter plan for Meerut families: 10 nights and 11 days door to door, one day shorter than our Char Dham package from Delhi.

On day 1 you have the afternoon free in Haridwar for Mansa Devi, Chandi Devi or simply the ghats. On the last day the vehicle drives straight from Rudraprayag to Meerut, skipping a second Haridwar night. Families from Modinagar, Hapur, Baghpat and Muzaffarnagar are picked up the same way.

Making the most of your first afternoon in Haridwar

Because Meerut guests reach Haridwar by lunchtime, day 1 becomes a small pilgrimage of its own. Most families pick two or three of these:

  • Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi. Hilltop temples reached by ropeway or on foot; ropeway tickets are paid on the spot.
  • Har Ki Pauri. Take a holy dip in the afternoon and return for the evening aarti, when hundreds of lamps float down the Ganga.
  • Daksha Mahadev temple at Kankhal. A quiet, old Shiva temple a short drive from the main ghats.
  • Shopping for the yatra. Pick up a walking stick, rain poncho and woollen socks in the Haridwar bazaar if you forgot anything.

Elders who would rather rest can skip the temples and simply sit by the river. The real climbing starts on day 3 at Yamunotri, so there is no need to tire anyone on the first day. If you have more time, our Kedarnath Tungnath and Hemkund Sahib extensions also start from Haridwar.

Tips for Meerut travellers

  • Avoid Kanwar season. In the Shravan month (usually July), the Meerut–Haridwar highway sees heavy Kanwar traffic and diversions; this is also monsoon time in the hills.
  • Best months. May–June and mid-September to October. See the best time to visit.
  • Registration. Every pilgrim needs the free Uttarakhand registration; follow our registration guide.
  • Kedarnath helicopter. Shuttle seats are sold only on IRCTC HeliYatra. See our helicopter booking guide.
  • Packing. Woollens, rain jacket, walking shoes and medicines. Full packing list.

Char Dham Yatra from Meerut: FAQ

Why is the Meerut tour only 11 days?

Meerut is close to Haridwar, so we can drive straight home from Rudraprayag on the last day instead of stopping in Haridwar. That saves a night compared with the 12-day Delhi tour.

What is the Char Dham package cost from Meerut?

From about ₹25,500 per person for four travellers on budget hotels, ₹36,500 deluxe and ₹53,500 luxury (2027 estimates).

Can you also pick up from Muzaffarnagar or Hapur?

Yes. Nearby towns are on the same route or close to it; share your address for a quote.

Can we do only Kedarnath and Badrinath from Meerut?

Yes. A Do Dham Yatra with home pick-up takes about a week. A Kedarnath-only trip is shorter still.

Which vehicle should a family of eight take?

A 12-seat Tempo Traveller gives everyone room for luggage and is cheaper per head than two cars.

Is the Kedarnath trek manageable for our parents?

With ponies, palkis or a helicopter shuttle, yes. Helicopter tickets are sold only on the IRCTC HeliYatra portal after registration.

When should we avoid travelling?

July and August, because of monsoon landslides in the hills and Kanwar traffic on the Meerut–Haridwar road.
